With 12-foot length and robust welded loops, these tips are designed for reliable handling across a range of conditions.

By choosing among 96, 132, or 168 grains for each tip, anglers gain a modular toolset that lets you tailor the line’s sink and overall behavior to the water you’re fishing. The color-coded IDs make it quick to identify weight and sink rate at a glance, helping you switch tips without missing a beat.

For those familiar with MOW tips, the same grain options map across a spectrum from lighter two-weight setups to heavier nine-weight two-handed rigs (using T8, T11, T14 per foot). Descriptors like S2/3 or S5/6 indicate a straighter sink profile with reduced belly, contributing to a more controlled cast and drift under varying conditions.

Key scenarios where Commando Tips shine:

Shallow, fast-moving water where precise depth control matters

Deep runs with stronger current where consistent tip performance helps presentation

High-water days that demand quick adaptation without re-rigging your setup

Mixing and matching with diverse Spey lines to cover a wider range of water types

Why anglers choose Commando Tips:

12-foot length provides a stable extension for nuanced presentations

Durable welded loops on both ends support repeated, confident attachments

Distinct line IDs simplify quick tip changes on the water

Broad compatibility with different Spey lines enhances versatility

Whether you’re refining a drift in a riffle or dialing in a mid-depth presentation in a longer run, Commando Tips offer a practical, modular approach to line management without overhauling your gear.
