How to choose

Spearfishing parts are not universal. Match a shaft to the diameter, length and notch style your speargun takes, a tip to the shaft thread, and a band to the gun length and muzzle. Shorter guns and pole spears turn more easily in low visibility and among rocks; longer guns reach further in clear, open water. Spearfishing is regulated, so check the federal and provincial rules for the water you plan to fish, including licences, species and seasons.
