A1FISHER 2-Pack Pacific Folding Crab Trap Kit 24x24x12 with Bait Cages, Gauge, Rope & Red/White Buoy

Overview

The A1FISHER Pacific Folding Crab Trap Kit brings practical, portable gear to your crabbing excursions. Each trap measures 24 by 24 by 12 inches and uses a vinyl coated steel wire frame built to withstand salt air and repeated use. With four entrance doors and two escape rings, the design emphasizes controlled access and easier catch management as you work the shoreline.

What’s in the Box

• 2 folding crab traps with the same durable construction
• 2 crab bait cages to hold attractants for pots, traps, or hoop nets
• 2 Dungeness/Red Rock gauge measures for quick size checks
• 2 trap harnesses with corrosion‑proof plastic snaps
• 2 5/16 inch diameter leaded core ropes, 100 feet each
• 2 red and white deep water float buoys for line visibility

Durable, Foldable Construction

crafted from vinyl coated steel wire, the traps fold down for easy transport and storage. The mesh is sized at 70 by 70 millimeters, and the four entrance doors work with two escape rings to help manage access. The upgraded nylon arms are thicker and stronger, boosting load bearing while preserving flexibility for packing away after a day on the water.

Precise Sizing and Secure Bait

The included bait cages are designed to hold attractants securely near the trap, helping you attract target crabs while keeping bait contained. The dual gauge measurements (5-3/4 inches for Red Rock crabs and 6-1/4 inches for Dungeness crabs) provide a handy reference to help you assess catches at a glance and stay aligned with local size rules.

Rope, Harness and Buoy Details

The sinking rope features quick sinking action and offers good abrasion resistance and UV stability for extended outdoor use. The hollow buoy bodies are rugged and highly visible, making it easier to locate gear in rough or choppy water. A note for buyers: this kit is intended for West Coast crab species such as Dungeness and Red Rock; verify local regulations and compatibility before use.

Usage Tips

Set up the traps along productive shallow water or channels, drop the bait cages into place, and deploy the traps with the included rope and buoys. Periodically check the gear during your session and retrieve after your set period to assess sizes and counts. The kit’s two-pack design supports paired deployments for broader coverage on a day trip.
