3M DBI-SALA 2108403 Steel Spreader Hook - 10-Inch Self-Closing/Locking for Positioning with Carabiner

Overview

The 3M DBI-SALA 2108403 steel spreader hook delivers a practical 10-inch reach designed to attach directly to a structure, helping you keep your hands free to focus on the task at hand. The balance of size and strength supports efficient setup and controlled movement in demanding environments.

Key benefits at a glance

• Direct attachment length enables hands-free operation during setup and task execution.
• Auto-locking, self-closing mechanism enhances safety and reduces pinch points, even when gloves are worn.
• Rugged steel construction stands up to rough handling and outdoor conditions for longer service life.
• Compatible with a carabiner to form a reliable positioning assembly for restrained or supported work.

The design is suitable for restraint or positioning scenarios where vertical free fall is not possible, or the fall is limited to about 2 ft (0.6 m) or less. This supports careful, deliberate movement and safer task execution without making guarantees about outcomes.

Real-world use ideas include securing a worker’s positioning point on a scaffold or beam to keep tools within reach, or forming a stable connection in confined spaces to support controlled work.

Durability and safety

Built for outdoor use and rough conditions, the hook maintains performance across long periods of exposure and demanding environments. The self-locking action automatically closes behind the carabiner, helping ensure a secure connection and saving time during setup.
