Abu Garcia Beast 175F Yellow Back – Large Topwater Lure for Bass

Overview

The Abu Garcia Beast 175F is a bold, big-bait option designed to grab attention from predatory fish. Measuring about 6.9 inches in length and weighing roughly 54 g, it sits between traditional plugs and dedicated swimbaits, delivering a substantial presence on the water without requiring extreme gear.

Modular design and customization

This lure isn’t fixed to one action. It comes with two lips, three tails, and sinker eyes, giving you the ability to assemble more than ten distinct patterns from a single lure. The included baitpack helps you organize components for quick swaps, enabling you to adapt action, depth, and appearance as conditions change.

• Length: approximately 6.8–6.9 inches (175 mm)
• Weight: about 1.9 oz (54 g) to 2.4 oz (65 g) depending on setup
• Material: ABS
• Origin: China
• Includes two lips and three tails, plus a dedicated baitpack

Action, depth, and retrieval ideas

On the retrieve, the Beast 175F can run as a noisy subsurface plug and can also be weighted to produce a smooth glide that traces an S-shaped arc. It excels in underwater dog walks, where the lure flashes and taps along structure, potentially triggering reaction strikes from curious fish.

• Topwater and subsurface presentations to draw big fish
• Glide action with adjustable weight for depth control
• Underwater walks to interact with glare, cover, and structure
• Multiple color and action patterns from component swaps

Though the Beast 175F is built for big-bait fishing and works with mid-to-heavy setups, it isn’t marketed as a single-purpose tackle piece. Its versatility invites thoughtful testing across water conditions to find what works best for you.
