Acme HG4/GC Hyper-Glide 1.5in Glowclown Ice Lure

Overview

Meet the Acme HG4/GC Hyper-Glide Glowclown, a compact 1.5-inch ice lure designed to mimic live prey with precise motion in cold water. This lure is built to deliver a convincing presence beneath the ice, helping you cover water quickly and present a believable target to active fish.

Cutting-edge action you can feel

Two core features work in harmony: Wings that open and close create a lifelike gill motion and a distinct, audible signal. The resulting interaction between action and sound helps the lure stand out in low light or murky ice conditions, increasing the likelihood of a bite during a measured retrieve.

• Life-like gill action from Wings opening and closing
• Wings open and close creating a loud noise against the body
• Glides through the water with a smooth, steady cadence
• Unprecedented jigging action that offers versatile retrieve options
• Drop System allows for vertical drops to recapture depth quickly

Why this lure fits an ice fishing setup

The Glowclown finish boosts visibility in dim or stained water, while its compact 1.5-inch profile keeps handling nimble and easy to deploy from a small jig box. The balanced design helps maintain depth during varied retrieves, making it a practical choice for ice fishing enthusiasts who value consistency.

Real-world uses and strategies

Try a short drop followed by a cautious lift to imitate a fleeing baitfish, then pause and watch for subtle indicators from bites. A sequence of small twitches paired with gentle vertical drops can reveal when fish are nearby and ready to strike.

Key benefits you might notice include quick depth recovery after each strike attempt, good visibility in low light, and a responsive glide that can draw attention from strike zones during busy fishing days.

Construction and practice tips

Designed to perform in cold conditions, the Glowclown maintains balance during rapid jigging and pauses. Use a steady cadence and adjust lift strength to match water clarity and fish activity for best results.

• Compact size aids easy handling and transport
• Glow finish enhances visibility in low-light ice conditions
• Balanced action supports a range of jigging styles
