AFTCO GAFFA356GLD Taper-Tip Aluminum Fishing Gaff Hook — 6 ft, 3 in Throat, 1 in Butt

Meet the AFTCO GAFFA356GLD taper-tip aluminum fishing gaff hook, engineered for fast, precise action on the water. Each component is chosen to balance strength and lightness, delivering dependable performance without adding unnecessary weight. The shaft is crafted from corrosion-resistant marine aluminum and swaged for uniform strength from end to end, helping you move smoothly from aim to lift.

With a 3-inch throat, a 1-inch butt diameter, and an overall length of 6 feet, this gaff offers a practical reach and a comfortable handfeel. The stainless steel hook takes and keeps a sharp edge with ease, while the taper-tip geometry enhances quick penetration when you need it most. The grip is molded from a soft yet rugged non-slip material, the same family used on high-end fishing rods, providing secure handling even in wet conditions. A black vinyl butt cap seals out moisture and helps protect the deck from scuffs.

In real-world use, these design choices translate to smoother handling and more controlled lifts, which can reduce deck chaos and improve coordination during moments of high activity. The focus on durable, lightweight construction means you can rely on this gaff to perform consistently in saltwater environments, without feeling cumbersome in your hands.
