Ahrex Nordic Salt Curved Gammerus Hook by Ahrex Hooks – Black Nickel, Size 2–12, Pack of 18

Overview

Designed by Ahrex Hooks, the Nordic Salt curved Gammerus hook is tailored for Gammarus pattern flies. Its curved silhouette and lightweight wire promote natural movement in shallow streams, while a broad gape allows adding weight without compromising the hook’s opening or performance. The finish is a stealthy black nickel, reducing glare in bright sun or clear water to help your pattern sit naturally in the water column.

Every hook is sharpened with a small barb to support controlled penetration and a confident feel during the set. Packaged as a convenient 18-hook assortment, it provides ready-to-tie options for a range of small-pattern presentations.

Designed for Gammarus patterns

The curved form mirrors the prey’s body, enabling the fly to swim with the current rather than fighting against it. This shape supports lifelike action in tight water and slower runs, helping your Gammarus imitator move with authentic resistance in varying currents.

Anglers often seek patterns that look and behave like the real thing. The Gammerus-oriented design encourages a natural, subtle swing that can entice strikes in delicate setups and clear-water environments.

Weighting and balance

In practical use, anglers blend depth and current by pairing these hooks with appropriate tippet and light-weight patterns. The result is a versatile setup that adapts to streams, riffles, and slow pockets alike.
