Airflo Ridge 2.0 Flats Universal Taper – All-Conditions Saltwater Fly Line

Airflo Ridge 2.0 Flats Universal Taper

On saltwater flats, conditions shift in moments. The Airflo Ridge 2.0 Flats Universal Taper is designed to respond with a broad range of loading and turnover characteristics. From heavy crab patterns in gusting winds to delicate bonefish patterns in a calm breeze, this line aims to adapt without forcing changes to your setup.

Balanced design for fast loading

The line features a short belly paired with a long rear taper, a combination that encourages quick loading and smooth turnover. This setup helps deliver accurate casts across varying distances and wind angles while offering predictable mend control as you lay line on the water.

Versatility across conditions

• Versatility across unpredictable conditions: handles heavier crab patterns when wind picks up and lighter bonefish patterns in lighter air.
• Quick loading: short belly with a long rear taper supports fast, reliable turnover for flats-to-beach presentations.
• Universal applicability: designed to be compatible with most saltwater rods and a wide range of angling styles.

Real-world use cases

In a gusty morning, you can maintain line tension while presenting a crab pattern, taking advantage of stable turnover. On calmer days, bonefish tactics benefit from the line's smooth release and easy mends, aiding long, precise casts toward shallow edges.

Who benefits

• Saltwater anglers who navigate mixed-rate days on the flats.
• Guides and anglers seeking a single line that adapts to multiple setups and targets.
• Rods and setups that prioritize quick loading and consistent line handling under salt spray.

Care and performance notes

After trips, rinse with fresh water and dry before storage to preserve coating performance. Pair the line with appropriate backing and a sturdy reel for balanced casting feel across conditions.
