Description
Overview
Discover the Avery GHG Hunter Series Life Size Puddler Decoys, a versatile six-pack designed to mimic a relaxed mixed flock of puddle ducks. This set includes 1 Pintail Drake, 1 Pintail Hen, 1 Wigeon Drake, 1 Wigeon Hen, 1 Gadwall Drake, and 1 Gadwall Hen, crafted to provide a natural silhouette from various distances. Model 73046 is built for durability and field-ready performance so you can focus on your hunt rather than gear concerns.
Durable, field-ready construction
Made from high-strength polyethylene, the decoys stand up to repeated use in challenging waterfowl environments and resist cracking, fading, and UV damage. This durability helps maintain a consistent look and feel across seasons and varying weather conditions.
60/40 Dura-Keel stability
The built-in keel weight front-to-rear delivers balanced floatation and lifelike movement in wind or current. This contributes to a natural, believable presence in sloughs, marshes, lakes, and flooded fields.
Multi-species puddler mix
Six life-size decoys represent Pintail drake and hen, Wigeon drake and hen, and Gadwall drake and hen. The varied mix aims to create a realistic, mixed-flock look that many waterfowl encounter in the wild.
Enhanced versatility and attraction
Decoys are scaled to match the exact proportions of real ducks, offering a convincing silhouette that waterfowl recognize and approach. The true-to-species sizing helps keep your spread authentic without overcrowding.
Practical setup tips
- Space decoys evenly with a few active drakes for focal points
- Use natural cover and water depth to create believable lines of sight
Real-world usage scenarios
Ideal for lakes, marshes, sloughs, or flooded fields. A mixed-flock appearance can add depth to your setup under different light and weather conditions. Benefits are possible outcomes and depend on several factors in the field.
