Avery Sporting Dog Canvas Training Bumper – Durable, Water-Resistant 2in Training Dummy for Hunting Dogs

Overview

Meet the Avery Sporting Dog Canvas Training Bumper, a white 2in training dummy built to withstand long days of fetch-and-retrieve practice. The canvas cover minimizes wear during repeated throws, while a compact weight makes it easy for dogs to pick up and carry. The bumper’s clean white surface provides high visibility against grass, water, and mud, helping handlers track where the next throw lands. It is designed for versatile use across indoor drills, park fields, and shoreline sessions—reflecting the realities of hunting training where distractions and terrain vary.

Durable Canvas Construction

The bumper features heavy-duty canvas that resists abrasion and holds up under numerous throws, flips, and catches. This rugged construction supports extended training days on trails, fields, and edges of ponds, enabling consistent practice without frequent replacements.

Water-Resistant Design

Designed with water resistance in mind, it performs well on land and in shallow water. The white surface stays visible across different lighting, making it easier to locate after long throws and in wet conditions.

Realistic Feel

Its balanced weight and surface texture create a familiar pickup sensation for dogs, helping them translate training cues to real hunting scenarios. The bumper remains comfortable to hold in a dog's mouth during longer sessions, promoting steady performance.

Versatile Training Tool

Suitable for puppies starting out and seasoned retrievers refining marks. The 2in size offers a practical target for introducing throw and retrieve drills, as well as progressive distance work and field scent training.
