Avian-X LCD Half-Strut Jake Turkey Decoy – Realistic Early-Season Folding Decoy

Elevate your turkey setup with the Avian-X LCD Half-Strut Jake Decoy

The LCD Half-Strut Jake Decoy from Avian-X offers a compact, lifelike presence designed for early-season hunts. The decoy is built on a Lifelike Collapsible Decoy (LCD) concept, combining a realistic look with quiet, field-ready performance. Its dura-rubber body resists creasing and keeps movements subtle, helping the scene feel natural even in light breeze or brushy conditions.

What makes this Jake stand out is its sub-dominant posture. A half-strut stance, relaxed wings, and a slightly forward head position convey confidence without aggression, creating a believable challenge to dominant gobblers. When paired with LCD hens, you can stage a realistic dynamic that invites curiosity from gobblers working the pecking order.

Key features that matter in the field

• 15% smaller than a real turkey, aiding accurate silhouette at distance.
• Pre-attached beard adds instant realism without extra setup.
• Realistic feather reflection and natural movement without unnatural spin.
• Quiet PVC dura-rubber construction stands up to field wear while staying low-noise.

Designed for mobile hunts

• Collapsible LCD body folds compactly for easy packing and storage.
• Includes collapsible carbon stake and carry bag for quick setup and transport.
• Storage compression strap keeps components organized in the pack.

In practice, this decoy helps create a staged scene that mirrors how turkeys interact in the wild. The combination of lifelike detailing, compact form, and simple deployment supports flexible setups across different terrains. While results can vary by environment and calling strategy, many hunters appreciate the balance of realism, portability, and durability this decoy provides. Consider pairing with an LCD hen for a complete front-and-back display that encourages investigative approaches from nearby birds.
