Berkley Gulp! Saltwater Jerk Shad Pearl White 5in - Inshore Biodegradable Lure

Overview

Meet the Berkley Gulp! Saltwater Jerk Shad in Pearl White, a 5-inch soft jerkbait designed for the inshore angler who hunts fish suspended in vertical cover. The bait’s lifelike action is driven by a supple, responsive tail and a subtle, salt-impregnated profile that mimics live prey in saltwater environments.

Biodegradable construction is a standout feature, giving you a lure that performs while keeping the waterway in mind. The Gulp! saltwater formula has been lab-tested and field-proven to attract fish that hold tight to weed edges, pilings, and other structure. The Pearl White color catches light in clear or stained water, helping the bait stand out in varying conditions.

Designed to work where you fish: weedlines, wood, docks, and dams. When you twitch the rod tip, the Jerk Shad darts and then glides with a lifelike pause that can provoke curious strikes from inshore species. The soft material enables a natural kick and a convincing silhouette as it sinks and swims with each retrieve.

What you’ll get and how to use it:

• Each pack contains five 5-inch Gulp! Saltwater Jerk Shads in Pearl White.
• Biodegradable design lets you fish with reduced environmental impact compared to traditional plastics.
• The bait’s natural motion is built to entice fish that hold in vertical cover or along structure.

Practical tips for success: pair the Jerk Shad with a steady or erratic retrieved pace to test different strike triggers. Cast to the edge of weedlines or around pilings, then count to a couple of seconds before a twitch-and-pause—this sequence can reveal how the lure behaves in your local tide and current. Anglers often report that the Pearl White hue provides good contrast in mixed light, while the 5-inch profile fills a common inshore target size range.

Note: While many anglers find this presentation effective in saltwater inshore settings, results can vary with conditions, current, and fish behavior. Consider stocking a few color and size variants to cover different water colors and depths.
