BLACK DIAMOND RockLock TwistLock Carabiner – Auto-Locking HMS, Keylock Nose

Overview: Fast, secure, and adaptable

The BLACK DIAMOND RockLock TwistLock carabiner is built for climbers who value reliable operation during belays, transitions, and rappels. Its auto-locking twistlock engages with a simple, deliberate twist, delivering a quick, secure closure that reduces fumbling at critical moments. While the mechanism can enhance confidence, results depend on technique and situational awareness, not a single tool alone. This connector aims to streamline clipped-in moments and help you move efficiently from anchor to anchor without sacrificing safety.

Smart rope handling with an HMS profile

The large pear-shaped (HMS) geometry is designed to promote smooth rope flow and compatibility with common belay devices and Munter hitches. On multi-pitch or top-rope systems, you may notice steadier rope management and predictable handling as you shift between anchors, devices, and rope feeds.

• Large, rope-friendly profile supports smooth passage through devices
• Designed for compatibility with common belay devices and Munter hitching

Snag-free clipping with a KeyLock nose

The nose geometry minimizes snags on harness loops, slings, or bolt hangers, helping you clip and unclipping with fewer interruptions. In routine route cleaning or anchor setup, the snag-free entry can contribute to smoother movements between gear points.

Durable, lightweight construction

Crafted from strong aluminum with a hot-forged frame, this carabiner balances durability with a lighter feel in the hand. It’s designed to withstand repeated use across rock, ice, and alpine objectives, making it a dependable option for daily use and longer campaigns alike.

Versatility for belay, anchor, and rope work

From belaying and master-point rigging to rappelling and gear security, this carabiner aims to be an all-purpose locker for gym climbers, trad leaders, and guides. The combination of mechanism, shape, and nose construction supports a range of routine climbing tasks without requiring multiple tools.

• Belaying and anchor work with reliable security
• Rappelling support with smooth rope routing
• General gear security for climbing days at the gym or crag

Note: While this carabiner offers practical benefits, it is one part of a bigger safety system. Always follow standard climbing practices and use appropriate gear for the objective and conditions.
