Overview

Meet the Bryburn stove stand designed for the original GI issue kidney-shaped 1-quart canteen cup. This piece traces its roots to US Army gear designed for field reliability, pairing with the US A.L.I.C.E. and M1956 1 quart canteens. Crafted from polished aluminium, the stand pairs durability with light weight, making it a dependable companion for outdoor use and camping setups.

Design and Build

The aluminium construction shines with a polished finish that resists wear while keeping weight low. The stand is compact enough for easy packing, yet sturdy enough to support a small heat source. Markings read HANDCREST US, signaling its 1991 US manufacture.

  • Original GI issue status
  • Stamped HANDCREST US for authenticity
  • New Old Stock condition, never used in the field
  • New in plastic bag with instruction sheet
  • Sturdy, stable support for small heat sources

Compatibility and Use

The stand is designed to cradle a kidney-shaped canteen cup or similarly sized small stove above a heat source. It provides a stable platform for heating beverages or rations and for light meals in outdoor settings. Note that it is intended for the designated cup and may not fit aftermarket cups.

  • Compatible with US Army kidney-shaped 1 quart canteens
  • Works with standard field stoves or small heat sources
  • Portable and easy to deploy in diverse terrains

What’s Included and Condition

Listed as unissued new old stock, the stand ships in its original packaging. You’ll receive the stand in a plastic bag with an instruction sheet. No other items are included, and the stand is sold as a standalone accessory.

Why Choose Bryburn

Shoppers seek authenticity paired with practical field readiness. This Bryburn stove stand offers that blend: a proven aluminium platform, US-made quality, and an unissued condition that signals minimal handling. It is a compact option for hikers, campers, and collectors of genuine US Army kit. While it suggests a promising field-ready setup, outcomes depend on usage and conditions in real-world scenarios.
