Buck Gardner Mallard & Gander Hammer Box Set – Green/Smoke Poly

The Buck Gardner Mallard & Gander Hammer Box Set brings together two durable calls in a single, field-ready package. The Mallard Hammer is a polycarbonate double reed duck call renowned for its responsive tone, featuring a 45-degree angle for hand-cut reeds, short barrel technology, and a redesigned mouthpiece that supports steady airflow. Paired with the polycarbonate Canada Goose call, which uses a short reed design and hand-tuned reeds, this box set is built to perform in a range of conditions without sacrificing ease of use.

Field Use and Real-Life Scenarios

Whether you’re on a quiet marsh at first light or facing a gusty wind on open water, this box set offers tones and cadences that can adapt to different distances and bird responses. The Mallard Hammer’s double-reed setup yields a broad range of quacks and whines, while the Canada Goose call provides sharp, crisp calls to draw in larger flocks. The combination supports versatility across goose and duck seasons without swapping gear mid-hunt.

In practice, the balanced mouthpiece and compact profile make long morning sessions more comfortable, and the tuned reeds help maintain consistency as conditions shift. The set’s two distinct calls invite a wider range of calls from clean, short quacks to more expansive, resonant tones while keeping a cohesive, field-ready feel.

Care and Maintenance

Rinse with fresh water after use, allow to dry, and store in a protective case. Periodic light lubrication of the reed area can preserve responsiveness and tone quality over time.

Overall, the Buck Gardner Mallard & Gander Hammer Box Set offers two reliable calls in a single, easy-to-carry package. It’s designed to support a flexible calling approach in a variety of environments, from calm mornings to windy afternoons.
