Coast FL85 Headlamp — 615 Lumen Dual Color with Twist Focus, Red LED, Hard Hat Compatible

Experience versatile beam control

The Coast FL85 headlamp is built for demanding environments, delivering flexible lighting through a twist-focused optic. From a wide flood that lights up close tasks to a targeted bulls-eye spot for distance, the bezel twist creates a smooth halo that helps maintain situational awareness across activities.

The dual color design adds a white LED for standard illumination and a fixed red LED to help preserve night vision when you need to study details, read plans, or coordinate with teammates without washing out the scene. These options empower you to adapt quickly to changing tasks while keeping your eyes comfortable in low-light conditions.

Rugged reliability you can count on

Designed for real-world use, the FL85 carries an IPX4 weatherproof rating and is described as impact resistant with a robust, virtually unbreakable LED. It includes reflective strap visibility for low-light situations and hard hat compatibility with clips so you can wear it safely on site. A hinged beam adjustment lets you angle light precisely where you need it, and the side-positioned battery pack can be repositioned to balance fit evenly after adjusting the strap.

Performance in every mode

Realistic expectations help you plan your activities. The flashlight offers three brightness levels: 615 lumens on high, 330 lumens on medium, and 96 lumens on low. Runtime varies by setting: about 2.15 hours on high, 3.45 hours on medium, and up to 13 hours on low. In high mode, beam distance reaches roughly 183 meters, with progressively shorter reach in lower modes. ANSI/FL1 standards testing provides a benchmark for brightness and runtime in field-like conditions.

Designed for work, play, and emergencies

Whether you’re on a construction site, fixing equipment after hours, camping, or handling a power outage, the FL85 adapts to your needs. The dual-color option, red LED for night work, and transition beam combine to support a range of activities without forcing a single lighting approach. The light weighs in with practical features that feel useful in everyday tasks, without overpromising results.
