Duel YO-ZURI Floating 100mm Mug Popper Salt Lure — Black Purple Center of Gravity

Meet the Duel YO-ZURI Floating Mug Popper

The Duel YO-ZURI Floating 100mm Mug Popper in Black Purple Center of Gravity blends vivid color with a purpose built silhouette designed for surface activity. In dawn or dusk light, the contrasting black and purple finish helps the lure stand out as it lands and pops across the water, creating a brief splash that can draw attention from nearby fish.

Key design benefits on the water

• A MAG BULLET gravity moving system aims to deliver explosive distance and stable tracking through the cast, helping you reach active zones faster.
• Optimized horizontal orientation enhances lure recognition by fish and supports reliable hook ups during follow up takes.
• Short distance, high appeal action comes from a large diameter cup coupled with a bottleneck body that creates distinct surface pulses.
• Size and weight provide a balanced feel in hand and when casting: 5.1 inches (130 mm) and 1.8 oz (50 g).
• Hardware includes a ring size 6 (POWER) and a 1/0 hook for sturdy connections in various saltwater targets.

Practical tips for use

• Start with a steady retrieve to let the gravity system play out and observe natural surface motion.
• Incorporate pauses or light twitches to provoke surface reactions in reacting fish.
• Vary cadence in saltwater settings to match changing light and water color and fish mood.
• Keep line tension steady to maintain action and reduce snags during a chase.
• Pair with a strong braid or fluorocarbon leader for improved bite resistance and control in rough water.

Real world scenarios

In a tidal estuary at first light, the lure casts smoothly through glassy water and delivers a crisp surface pop as it lands. The black purple finish contrasts with pale dawn reflections, helping it register against shadows and waves. Anglers report consistent surface strikes when paired with a moderate cadence and deliberate pauses, though results depend on conditions and fish behavior.

Why consider this lure? It combines color, balance, and a distinctive surface action that suits anglers seeking a topwater option for saltwater species. Use it as a primary topwater cast or as a search lure to locate active fish and then switch to a different presentation if needed. These observations reflect typical usage scenarios and the design intent rather than guarantees.
