ESH Double-Sided Turkey Pot Call – Padauk Glass & Slate with Dymondwood Striker

Overview

The ESH Double-Sided Turkey Pot Call is a handcrafted tool designed to reproduce authentic hen sounds with convincing detail. Created by Rodney Eckstine, a 20-time Major Calling Champion with over 40 years in the turkey woods, this call pairs a premium padauk body with two versatile surfaces. The result is a single tool that can adapt to different tones and distances, helping you shape your own hunting cadence.

Built from solid padauk, the call benefits from a warm, resonant voice that carries across open fields and forests. On the front, a glass surface drives louder, higher-pitched yelps and sharp cutts, while the back features a black slate optimized for soft purrs and closer-range chatter. The combination offers a dynamic range that many hunters find useful in varied light, wind, and gobbler behavior.

Dual-Surface Versatility

• Front glass surface: ideal for loud, high-pitched yelps and cutting calls that reach out to distant birds.
• Back slate surface: excels at soft clucks and close-range communication for in-range seduction.

Whether you prefer a bold, attention-grabbing approach or a delicate, whispered call, this call gives you the flexibility to respond to changing wildlife behavior in real time.

What’s Included

• Dymondwood striker for precise control and consistent response
• Glass conditioning stone to keep the front surface performing at its best
• Slate conditioning pad to maintain the back surface’s smooth feel
• Double-sided call designed for generations of use, hand-assembled and tested

Beyond the core design, the kit emphasizes maintenance so you can rely on this tool season after season. The craftsmanship is aimed at durable performance, with attention to how the surfaces interact with your breath and mouth shape to produce realistic hen tones.

In the field, you’re invited to explore a broad sound palette—from crisp, confident yelps to intimate, low-volume purrs. While outcomes depend on technique and conditions, the ESH Double-Sided Turkey Pot Call positions you to experiment with different voices and delivery styles, giving you a versatile ally when engaging wary gobblers.
