Evolved Habitats Buck Lickers Apple Salt Block 4 lb – Year-Round Deer Attractant

Overview

Discover a ready-to-use mineral block that combines calcium and phosphorus with a crisp apple aroma to attract deer, elk, and moose across the landscape. Designed for year-round usefulness, Buck Lickers simplifies supplementation while inviting wildlife to visit again and again.

Why this works for you

• Mineral attractant with added calcium and phosphorus supports balanced intake and healthy development in wildlife.
• Apple flavor and aroma create a broad, long-range draw, encouraging repeated visits from nearby animals.
• Time-release design lasts longer and resists washing away in rain, reducing upkeep and replacement frequency.
• Ready to use straight from the package with no mixing required, making setup simple.

How it works and what to expect

These blocks are intended for free-choice feeding within the animals’ natural habitat. As animals lick the surface, minerals are released over time, promoting a steady intake rather than short bursts of feeding.

Usage tips and site considerations

For best results, place the block on the top of a stump or at an active mineral lick in shaded areas. Soil type matters: sandy soils can leach minerals faster than heavy clay soils. Plan for a total site diameter of about 10 feet, and consider establishing two sites for every 100 acres to broaden the attractant footprint.

• Placement: free-choice feeding for deer, elk, and moose in natural habitats.
• Site selection: choose shaded spots near active crossings; monitor soil type for mineral availability.
• Durability: weather-resistant formula maintains effectiveness through rain and seasonal changes.
