FusionX X-SOL Plastisol Resin is a clear, versatile liquid plastic designed for soft plastic fishing lures. Supplied as a 1-quart batch, it supports multiple firmness levels to match a wide range of lure designs, from finesse baits to larger swimbaits.

The formulation is non-phthalate and de-gassed to reduce air bubbles, helping you achieve clear, smooth pours. It’s designed to work with common pigments, glitter, and effect pigments, enhancing color and finish while remaining compatible with most silicone, aluminum, and plastic molds. The resin can be used for hand pouring or injection molding, and it can be remelted and reused, making it a flexible choice for experimentation and production runs.

Three firmness levels at a glance

• Soft Shore 9 (OO scale): good for finesse applications and small lures with lower melt viscosity.
• Medium Shore 13: a balanced option for most applications, similar to many mass-produced soft plastics.
• Firm Shore 20: ideal for large lures, dipped tube lures, swimbaits, and saltwater designs; higher tear strength and viscosity.

Notes on use:

• Heat to 320–340°F in a microwave or on a stove, pour, and allow to cool for a few minutes.
• Read and follow all safety precautions; mix well before each use as the product may settle during storage.
• Not suitable for small intricate hand-poured lures at higher firmness due to melt viscosity, but compatible with injection molding and larger forms.
• Mix firmness levels to create custom blends and re-melted scraps can be reused in future projects.

Application tips for best results

• Use EFEX pigments or compatible colorants, glitter, and effect pigments to achieve vibrant finishes.
• Ensure your molds are compatible with plastisol and avoid prolonged exposure at high heat to maintain mold integrity.
• Store in a cool, closed container to prevent moisture ingress and sedimentation; shake or remix before each use.
