Description
Overview
The Halco Laser Pro 190XDD is widely recognized as a top bluewater trolling lure. Its bold purple and black palette stands out in spray and low light, inviting pelagic species to investigate as you cover wide ocean horizons.
Built for durability and versatility, this lure showcases Halco's Bullet Proof Bib securing system, designed to endure the wear of multiple trips and harsh seafaring conditions. With three diving depth options, you can tailor how deep the lure runs to align with water column, current, and target species. It is rated for trolling at speeds up to 11 knots, giving you flexibility across different bite windows. The model ships with #4/0 Mustad 3XX trebles to balance reliability with sharpness.
Performance on the Water
On the troll, the Laser Pro 190XDD often produces a steady, wide wobble and a clean wake that can draw curious gamefish from the depths. The purple-black finish provides high contrast under sunlit glare and in shadowed chasms, helping the lure remain visible to passing pelagics.
Real-life applications span offshore charters and weekend trips where anglers pursue Barracuda, Wahoo, and Mackerel. The lure’s action can be tuned by choosing depth, adjusting speed, and selecting wire traces for added strength and bite resistance.
