Experience lifelike motion and durable design

Meet the Higdon Outdoors XS Splashing-Flasher Mallard Drake Decoy, built to bring convincing movement to ponds, pools, and shallow-water spreads. This decoy combines a 12V motor with an integrated timer, enabling eye-catching water spray and authentic action for early-season setups or late-season patterns where ducks are discerning.

Why this decoy stands out for waterfowl hunters:

• TRUSTED FOR 25+ YEARS: Higdon Outdoors offers premium, durable decoys trusted by hunters season after season.
• UNMATCHED REALISM: Ultra-bright flash, high-contrast paint, and a controlled water spray create a convincing illusion of life on the water.
• ALL-DAY BATTERY: Approximately seven hours of runtime per charge, with a three-hour recharge, supporting extended setups.
• INCREDIBLE DETAIL & VERSATILITY: Realistic feather patterns and natural coloring enable a versatile spread for various water bodies.
• SUPPORTS WETLANDS: A portion of each sale helps preserve waterfowl habitats across North America.

Real-World Use and Setup

In practice, this decoy shines when placed among a mixed group of rigs. The motion and glow draw attention in calm mornings, while the detailed feathering helps it blend into the background as light shifts during the day. It works well in ponds, pools, and other still-water environments where ducks are scanning for movement.

• Pair with other Higdon decoys to create varied postures and motion for a dynamic spread.
• Position in shallow water where ducks are likely to approach, allowing your decoy to read as a natural visitor.
• Use the timer to synchronize operation with your hunt window, reducing manual adjustments throughout the day.

Technical Highlights

The XS model is optimized for field use with a 12V system and a focus on all-day operation. Expect roughly seven hours of continuous runtime per charge, followed by a quick recharge to keep your setup ready. The combination of bright motion, sharp contrast, and water spray is designed to attract ducks in a variety of light conditions without relying on heavy equipment.

Beyond the hunt, your purchase contributes to habitat conservation initiatives that support waterfowl populations across North America.
