Rugged filtration for adventures and preparedness

Meet the Katadyn Pocket, a compact, field-tested water filter designed for backpacking, group camping, and emergency readiness. Built with a silver-impregnated ceramic element, it targets common waterborne contaminants while staying durable enough for extreme conditions.

From Katadyn's Endurance series, the Pocket is designed to endure tough use and deliver reliable water in diverse settings. The field-cleanable ceramic depth filter lets you rinse away sediment and restore flow in the field. It handles water from clear streams to turbid or silty sources, providing flexibility wherever you travel. Depending on source quality, it can treat up to 13,000 gallons and produce up to 1 liter of clean water per minute for small groups.

Core filtration capabilities

• 0.2-micron silver-impregnated ceramic element reduces bacteria and protozoan cysts for safer drinking water in remote locations.
• EPA-tested performance confirms dependable filtration across diverse water sources.

Built to endure and simple to maintain

• Rugged steel construction and a 20-year warranty offer confidence for years of use in rugged environments.
• Ergonomic round pump handle improves comfort during extended pumping sessions; includes a prefilter to catch larger particles.

The Pocket also includes practical conveniences: an outlet hose with a clip attaches to bottles for easy filling, a cushioned base stabilizes pumping on uneven ground, and a measuring gauge indicates when the element should be cleaned or replaced. The compact 20-ounce (550 g) body, plus a carrying bag, makes it easy to pack for multi-day trips or family outings.

In real-world use, many adventurers rely on the Pocket for dependable water access in challenging environments. It is a trusted choice for professionals and serious outdoors enthusiasts who prioritize reliability and long-term readiness. While results vary with water quality and effort, the Katadyn Pocket presents a credible option for those seeking robust, field-ready water filtration.
