In clear water, UV-C light inactivates microorganisms by hindering their ability to reproduce, offering a practical way to treat drinking water without bulky gear. When a treatment cycle ends, LED indicators flash to signal that the water is ready to drink. Depending on your battery chemistry, you can expect roughly 25 activations with alkaline batteries, about 150 with lithium, or around 100 with rechargeable NiMH cells.
