Overview

The KATSUICHI AS-05SP 2/0 Pike Sato Bend is designed for pike anglers who value precise penetration and dependable retention, even in challenging waters. This hook blends the classic Sato Bend geometry with a tuned point angle to support clean hookups with slow-pitch jerks or light tackle, while its rugged profile helps navigate snag-prone cover and rooted structure.

Key design highlights

Where it matters, the AS-05SP is built to perform with intention:

• The pointed angle is tuned for confident hooks with lighter gear, helping you connect on nuanced takes.
• Sato Bend profile reduces snag around roots and submerged obstacles, aiding smooth penetration.
• Available in a Pro Pack that covers multiple sizes for flexible setups.

Pro Pack contents

The Pro Pack is offered in three common sizes, with generous piece counts for on-water sessions:

• 1/0 — 50 pieces
• 2/0 — 40 pieces
• 3/0 — 30 pieces

Practical tips and use cases

Think calm rivers, weed edges, and snag-prone banks where pike hold. The setup is suitable for slow, deliberate retrieves and light-tackle tactics. While not a guarantee, many anglers find that the tuned geometry can help with steady hookups and a responsive feel in varied water conditions.

Care and replacement

Inspect hooks after every session; rinse with fresh water to remove residue, then dry before storage. Replace worn tips to maintain performance on future trips.
