Overview

The Keitech SW3400 Swing Impact AYU in 3 inches is a proven winner on many tournament boards and a staple for anglers who value versatility. This compact swimbait adapts to a wide range of conditions, from clear flats to stained pockets, and it pairs well with multiple rigs for varied presentations.

Smart design for balanced action

The lure uses Keitech's original two-tone color injection, combining different salted plastics to achieve better balance and an inviting, lifelike kick during both casting and retrieving. The subtle flashes and natural tail motion help mimic a lively baitfish in the water, giving you a confident feel on the retrieve.

  • Proven tournament winner status across formats
  • Two-tone color injection with salted plastics for balanced action
  • Versatile enough for single use or integration into an a-rig

Versatility in how you fish it

Part of a four-size Swing Impact line, the 3-inch model is designed to pair with a range of heads and presentations. The 3-inch version works best on the super round head, delivering a steady glide and tail kick that you can sense through the rod tip.

  • Straight retrieve for a natural swim path
  • Bounced along the bottom to imitate a wounded forage fish
  • Drop shot for finesse in tight cover or deeper ledges

Real-life use and settings

In lakes and rivers with varying water clarity, the AYU’s action can entice bites from species that respond to a compact, lifelike profile. The two-tone balance and salted plastic formulation help the lure sink or suspend with a controlled rate, making depth control easier on different days. Anglers often find the 3-inch size effective when targeting mid-sized predators during spring and early summer when forage activity is high.

Practical notes

Because this is part of a four-size lineup, you can choose the profile that best fits the day’s conditions. Pair it with a light to medium jig head for precise depth control and consider an a-rig setup to create a broader forage presentation while maintaining a natural feel in water.
