Ketcham Supply Lobster Trap with Rope, Buoy & Weak Link – 30x18x12 in

Overview

The Ketcham Supply YotPot recreational lobster trap blends a lightweight, compact footprint with practical features for day-to-day use on the water. Built with decades of fishing know-how, this trap is tuned for easier handling, hauling, and stowing between hauls.

Smart design for real-world use

From the outside, the trap presents a tidy silhouette that fits well on small boats or alongside a dock. Inside, a larger white inner parlor plus two blue side net entries create accessible entry points for lobsters and a cleaner haul when you pull the trap. Two bricks add stabilizing weight so the trap sits where you expect it to, even in breezy conditions.

• 2 inch escape vent allows smaller lobsters to exit, helping you stay in line with common size guidelines
• Bungee and a wire hook door closure make reloading and securing the trap quick and reliable
• Plastic strip on the door lets you imprint your recreational license number for easy identification

What’s included and built for reliability

Beyond the trap body, the kit arrives ready to deploy: a 50 feet section of 3/8 inch sink rope, a factory white bullet-shaped buoy, a yellow bait bag, and a plastic weak link that protects wildlife by breaking under pressure where required.

• Rigged foam buoy for easy visibility and quick location on the water
• Yellow bait bag to hold attractants without fouling gear
• Plastic weak link designed for areas that require an entanglement safeguard

Practical notes for use

This trap is designed for fishing area 2, which covers Massachusetts south shore and coastal Rhode Island. Always verify the regulations in your area before fishing, and follow local licensing requirements. The trap measures 30 x 18 x 12 inches, creating a compact profile that is easier to transport, deploy, and store when not in use. Made in our New Bedford, MA factory, it reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to quality and practical fishing gear.

In addition to the core features, you get a ready-to-use rig that includes a 50 ft sink line, a buoy, and a bait bag, all selected to help you focus on the moment when you spot a telltale bite or catch. While no single tackle setup guarantees results, this trap offers a thoughtful package designed to be reliable across typical recreational trips.
