Description
Overview
The Kryptek Petra II Gaiter in Skyfall is built to protect your lower legs from rain, mud, and trail debris while moving with your pace. It combines rugged durability with a flexible fit, making it a dependable companion on varied terrain.
Crafted from a robust 86% polyester and 14% spandex blend, the gaiter balances stretch and stability. This combination supports a snug, close-to-boot fit that stays comfortable across long days on the trail. The 100% waterproof finish helps you stay dry as you navigate damp paths, shallow streams, and splashing spray from moving water.
Key features
- 3-layer DWR Waterproof Fabric
- Fabric: 86% Polyester; 14% Spandex
- 100% Waterproof
Performance in the field
On misty forest routes, alpine approaches, or damp brushy sections, the Petra II Gaiter remains securely in place around your boot. The DWR treatment helps moisture bead up and roll away, while the stretch fabric moves with every step, reducing rubbing and chafing over rough terrain.
The gaiter’s durable construction resists wear from roots, rocks, and gravel, making it a practical multi-season option. Its streamlined silhouette fits beneath packs and pant cuffs without adding bulk, supporting a comfortable, steady stride during longer outings.
Real-world use cases
- Wet and muddy trail segments where splashes are common
- Snowy approaches and damp ground conditions
- Riverside crossings and brush-heavy routes
- Long hikes across varied weather and terrain
Care and longevity
- Rinse after use to remove dirt and debris
- Air dry away from direct heat sources
- Store in a cool, dry place to maximize fabric life
Whether you are navigating light drizzle or heavier cloud cover, the Petra II Gaiter Skyfall offers dependable coverage designed for performance over multiple seasons.
