Description
Overview
Meet the KUFA 2-Pack Crab Trap Accessory Kit CAC3x2, a thoughtfully designed set for sport crabbers who value dependable gear and practical features. Built for coastal crabbing along the Pacific waters and nearby regions, this kit combines essential components with rugged construction to support consistent outings and smooth gear handling from dawn to dusk.
Whether you’re pairing with a favorite trap style or navigating varied regulations, CAC3x2 is meant to streamline deployment, monitoring, and retrieval. The aim is simple: reliable performance without unnecessary complexity, so you can stay focused on the catch and the moment on the water.
What’s in the kit
- 5/16x100' Lead Core Rope
- Crab Caliper (useful for WA, OR and AK)
- Durable 4-Arm Harness
- Bait Bag with rubber lock for secure, easy bait changes
- 6x14in Red/White Float for high visibility
Key benefits and practical use
- Long-reach rope supports controlled deployment and retrieval from a boat or shore
- Caliper helps estimate crab size in line with local rules and daily harvest limits
- Rugged harness stands up to repeated use and rough coastal conditions
- Secure bait bag design reduces spill and simplifies bait changes during checks
- Bright float improves visibility to alert you when pots are within range or drifting
Real-world scenarios
Set along rocky shores, in calm bays, or open coast; haul in from a boat at dawn or dusk; swap bait quickly between checks; monitor multiple pots with a single rig.
Note: Always verify local fishery regulations and gear requirements to ensure compliant crabbing practices.
Materials, deployment tips, and maintenance
Durable components designed for saltwater use help withstand routine coastal handling. The lead core rope is light yet strong, the 4-arm harness distributes load evenly, and the float remains highly visible in variable light. For best results, rinse gear after each trip, dry before storage, and inspect the caliper and bait bag periodically.
- Test your rig in calm water before venturing offshore
- Choose sheltered spots initially and monitor for drift or current
- Keep line tension moderate to prevent kinks or damage
- Inspect hardware for corrosion and wear after each season
