Lew's BB1 Pro Baitcast Reel - Right-Hand, 6.2:1, 10-Bearing System

Overview

The Lew's BB1 Pro Baitcast Reel blends rugged engineering with refined casting control, designed for anglers who value precision and durability. With a 6.2:1 gear ratio and right-hand retrieve, this reel keeps pace as you cover water, switch lures, or respond to shifting conditions.

Key design advantages

• Third-generation BB1 Pro design paired with a one-piece aluminum frame for rigidity and dependable performance
• 10-bearing system with stainless steel double-shielded ball bearings for consistently smooth retrieves
• Zero Reverse one-way clutch bearing to minimize back play and improve bite transmission on the strike
• Graphite sideplates that reduce weight while maintaining stiffness and corrosion resistance
• Braid-ready, machined, anodized aluminum 35mm spool with an optimized U-shaped line capacity for robust line management

What this means on the water

On the water, you’ll notice a crisp, quiet retrieve and solid spool alignment across varied lure presentations. The braid-ready spool supports stronger braided line for better control, while the durable frame helps keep components aligned during long casting sessions and spirited battles with fish.

Real-world use cases

• Bass fishing with jigs, swimbaits, and heavier lines where precise control matters
• Crankbaits and topwater setups that reward steady line release and accurate casts
• Freshwater scenarios that benefit from a robust, corrosion-resistant design and reliable performance

Fit, finish, and care

The reel’s graphite sideplates deliver a lighter feel without compromising rigidity, while the anodized aluminum spool stands up to regular rigors on the water. For best results, pair with a compatible Lew's rod and use appropriate line tension, then periodically inspect bearings and spool alignment to maintain smooth operation.
