The Loon Up and Down Kit is designed for anglers who want to adapt quickly to shifting water conditions. One bottle focuses on floatation, the other on weight, allowing you to tune your fly’s position from surface to subsurface without swapping gear. The kit combines two complementary tools so you can respond to changing currents, light, and target depth with ease.
This two-bottle system includes Henry's Sinket, a liquid sinking agent, and Aquel, a premium dry-fly gel floatant. Together, they empower you to switch between buoyant surface presentations and weighted subsurface control, depending on what the day on the water demands.
Apply Aquel to your dry fly to lift and maintain surface tension, then switch to Henry's Sinket when you want a touch more depth. The combination helps you reach sub-surface targets while keeping your line clean and easy to cast. This setup is especially handy when you’re chasing occasional surface bites or probing deeper zones without changing rigs.
Start with Aquel on your dry fly and test buoyancy. Add Henry's Sinket only if deeper positioning is needed. Adjust your application based on current speed, water clarity, and the trout’s feeding behavior. The kit invites experimentation in a range of stream types, from fast riffles to still pools.
Q: What is included in the Loon Up and Down Kit?
A: A two-bottle system with a sinking liquid and a floating gel floatant, plus Henry's Sinket and Aquel.
Q: How should I use the products for best results?
A: Apply the gel floatant to dry flies for buoyancy; add the sinking liquid when deeper sub-surface control is needed.
