Mustad Daggerman Jig 240g Yellow Candy — Front-Weighted Vertical Jig for Amberjack, Yellowtail & Tuna

Meet the Mustad Daggerman Jig, a 240 g front-weighted vertical lure designed to excite offshore anglers who chase big predators. Its bright Yellow Candy finish catches the eye as it slices through the water, offering a compelling visual cue for game species such as amberjack, yellowtail, and dogtooth tuna. The lure ships rigged with a Mustad Ultrapoint hook, delivering durable sharpness aimed at clean, confident hooks during fast subsurface strikes.

What sets the Daggerman Jig apart is its aerodynamic profile, engineered to rip through the water column and grab attention even in unsettled seas. When deployed, the lure mimics the erratic yet natural movement of a struggling baitfish, a behavior that can prompt reactive strikes from pursuing predators. This design pairs well with a simple, responsive retrieve strategy and can be tailored to match varying depths and currents.

Key benefits at a glance:

• Target-oriented design: front-weighted construction helps keep the lure in the strike zone while you work it.
• Enhanced visibility: Yellow Candy color increases surface presence and underwater reflection for attracting curious predators.
• Durable rigging: comes with a Mustad Ultrapoint hook known for sharpness and reliability on tough bites.
• Versatile presentation: short, rapid pumps with brief pauses are recommended to emulate a struggling baitfish.

Practical use tips:

• Cast beyond structures or current seams, then allow the jig to descend to the target depth.
• Begin with a quick, short pump-pause rhythm to provoke bites from aggressive targets.
• Experiment with retrieval speed to balance the lure’s wake and the fish’s natural reaction in your waters.
• Pair with sturdy tackle and a steady reel to maintain line control during sustained runs.

In real-world scenarios, anglers appreciate how the Daggerman Jig blends visibility, motion, and proven hook quality into a single vertical presentation. While results depend on water conditions, structure, and the fish’s mood, this lure offers a credible option for anglers who value a front-weighted design, productive color, and a plan-friendly retrieval approach.
