Description
Meet Eye-Candy Grub: 3in of Action
The Northland Eye-Candy Grub is the liveliest soft bait on the jighead, with a natural, lifelike motion and buoyancy that triggers predatory instincts. At 3 inches, this soft plastic glides with a convincing wriggle thanks to the Double Curl tail, kicking and wriggling at any speed. Built from Northland's Super thermoplastic elastomer, the lure feels soft and stretchy yet stands up to repeated strikes, keeping you in the action longer.
Key benefits that stand out
- Flashy, fluttery action that draws attention in open water and tight cover
- Built-in rattle that calls fish in from longer distances
- Hi-vis Glo or UV finishes that shine in bright sun or murky water
- Versatile for crappie, walleye, perch, and bass with both finesse and power techniques
Real-world use and performance
Designed for river mouths, lake edges, weed lines, and open-water ambush points, the Eye-Candy Grub moves as if it were alive. The buoyant body helps maintain an enticing silhouette when pulled along the jighead, while the tail kicks with a lifelike flutter that fish often respond to even during quick retrieves. The material offers a soft feel that many anglers associate with a natural prey impression, yet it remains surprisingly durable after several hookups.
Best setups and technique tips
- Pair with light to mid-weight jigheads for finesse walleye and panfish scenarios
- Use steady retrieves, twitch-hop cycles, or slow-rolling for bass to explore cover and depth
- Choose hi-vis Glo or UV finishes to adapt to water clarity and light conditions
Durability and care
Northland's Super thermoplastic elastomer blends a soft, realistic feel with durability that helps you cover more water. The Eye-Candy Grub resists tearing and stays supple through repeated bites, letting you focus on technique rather than bait replacement.
