Description
Meet the Okuma CHD-1000A Ceymar HD 1000 Spinning Reel
The CHD-1000A is crafted for anglers who value lightness without sacrificing strength. Weighing in at a compact 6.9 ounces, this reel blends a corrosion-resistant frame, side plate, and rotor with a refined profile that feels balanced in hand. Its understated black finish complements a robust build, ready for sunlit mornings and salt spray alike.
Engineered for smooth, dependable performance
Inside, Okuma’s HDG-II High-Density Gearing delivers a confident power transfer with precise feel. The reel houses 7HPB + 1RB stainless-steel bearings for smooth rotation and a multi-disc, oiled felt drag system that can apply up to 20 pounds of drag when you need it. A frictionless main shaft and a double-supported pinion gear with ball bearings contribute to consistently quiet operation under load.
- Even Flow Line Roller system with a DLC coating reduces line friction for easier casts
- Precision machine-cut brass pinion gear for reliable engagement
- Corrosion-resistant frame, side plate, and rotor designed for longevity
Designed for durability and precise casting
The machined aluminum, two-tone anodized spool pairs with a heavy-duty, solid aluminum bail wire. A rotor brake system helps prevent rotation during the cast, supporting controlled and confident presentations. The screw-in handle is rigidly machined for steady retrieves, even in challenging conditions.
- Machined aluminum spool plus rugged bail wire for durability
- Rotor brake assists casting control and line management
Real-world versatility
Starting from a light footprint, the CHD-1000A fits a range of line weights and lures ideal for inshore and nearshore action. Its compact design makes it a versatile option for anglers who want a reliable reel that’s easy to handle over long sessions. While benefits can vary by setup and conditions, this reel offers a balanced blend of weight, strength, and drag performance that could enhance your fishing experience.
