Petzl ACTIK CORE Headlamp - 450 Lumen Rechargeable Light for Hiking, Climbing, Camping | Orange

Meet the Petzl ACTIK CORE headlamp, a compact, high-performance light designed for night-focused activities like hiking, climbing, and camping. At its core is a robust 450-lumen output that can be tuned to match proximity tasks or longer-distance navigation, all while staying light on your pack and wallet. The dual beam options—flood and mixed—let you switch between broad-area illumination and more focused reach, so you can adapt to changing terrain without fumbling for controls.

Smart power and long-lasting brightness

The ACTIK CORE is built around Petzl's hybrid concept. It ships with a rechargeable CORE battery but can run on three AAA/LR03 batteries if you're away from a charger. The result is flexibility you can rely on, whether you’re climbing a crag at dusk or setting up camp after dark. Petzl promotes a 50:50 brightness-to-burn-time ratio, which helps brightness stay closer to its original level halfway through the burn-time, compared with some brands. This creates a more predictable lighting experience during longer excursions.

Simple, safe, and user-friendly

Every operation uses a single button for quick selection of brightness or light color, with a LOCK function to prevent accidental activation in transit. The reflective headband adds an extra touch of night visibility when you’re moving on off-road trails or returning to your tent after the sun has set. The red LED option preserves night vision and also keeps your group from blinding each other during late-night tasks, while still offering enough light for careful navigation.

Versatile for real-world adventures

With 450 lumens on tap, you’ll have enough brightness to illuminate a campsite, read a map, or guide a partner along a rocky path. The two beam patterns make this headlamp suitable for a variety of settings, from hands-free cooking at camp to approaching a trailhead after an alpine climb. The blend of performance and ease-of-use makes it a practical option for quick jaunts or weekend expeditions.
