PETZL Cordex Plus Reinforced Belay/Rappel Gloves – Black, Medium

Meet the PETZL Cordex Plus Reinforced Belay/Rappel Gloves, a balanced, medium-weight option designed to protect hands without sacrificing dexterity during rope work. The palm features a double layer of leather with padding, helping manage heat and abrasion during longer rappels or controlled lowers. The back of the hand combines leather with abrasion-resistant stretch nylon in key flex zones, letting you move freely while staying protected.

Details matter in the field, and Cordex Plus delivers. Fingertips and other high-wear areas are reinforced to extend glove life, so you can focus on the task at hand. A reinforced carabiner hole in the cuff makes it easy to clip the gloves to your harness for quick access between moves, while the low-profile neoprene cuff with Velcro closure helps keep dirt out and ensures a secure fit during vigorous activity.

Real-world protection and control for belay and rappel work

Designed for the friction and heat that rope work can generate, these gloves offer a thoughtful blend of protection and control. The double-layer leather on the palm helps dissipate heat and reduces wear during long descents, while the reinforced fingertips provide reliable precision for ropes and carabiners. The backhand’s abrasion-resistant stretch nylon protects and flexes with your hand, so you can stay nimble as you maneuver around edges and knots.

• MAXIMUM DURABILITY: Double-layer leather in high-wear zones extends glove life during intensive use.
• PROTECTION & GRIP: Leather shields hands from rope friction and heat, while maintaining a secure grip.
• REINFORCED BACKING: Abrasion-resistant stretch nylon at knuckles adds protection and flexibility.
• HARNESS ATTACHMENT: Reinforced carabiner hole in the cuff for clipping gloves to your harness.
• SECURE FIT: Neoprene cuff with Velcro closure keeps gloves in place during dynamic movement.

Material, fit, and care

The Cordex Plus uses a leather palm and backhand with strategically placed stretch nylon for comfort and durability. A medium size offers a balanced fit that preserves dexterity without bulk. For longevity, wipe clean after use and air dry away from direct heat.

• FIT & SIZE: Medium provides a balanced, precise fit for typical climbers.
• CARE: Gently wipe with a damp cloth and air dry to protect leather and stitching.
