Phelps Renegade Elk Bugle Tube - Shortened Pro Bugling System with Corrugated Chamber

Overview

The Renegade Elk Bugle Tube blends professional-grade elk calling with a compact form, designed for hunters who value portability without compromising tonal depth. Developed in collaboration with elk calling expert Dirk Durham, this shortened design preserves the authentic bugle voice while remaining easy to carry across varied terrain.

Compact, Pro-Grade Design

The tube starts from a high-performance Unleashed platform and is shortened by 3 inches, then refinished for field-ready portability. The result is a streamlined tool that fits naturally in the hand and slips easily into a pack pocket when the moment arrives.

• Shortened yet retains professional elk bugling capability
• Thick-wall corrugated chamber delivers robust resonance and a clean, non-plastic timbre
• 1 inch straight mouth opening creates a compact, streamlined mouthpiece
• Over-cupped exhaust bell provides backpressure for precise articulation across diaphragms
• Durable corrugated chamber enhances resonance and supports high volume without distortion
• Dual branding with Renegade and Phelps Game Calls visuals

Diaphragm Ready, Field Ready

The design emphasizes diaphragm compatibility, making it easier to run a range of diaphragms while maintaining crisp tone. Backpressure and thick walls help sustain consistent notes across calling styles.

• Works with multiple diaphragm types for versatile calling styles
• Backpressure supports steady, repeatable notes
• Rugged, compact form reduces fatigue during long hunts

Real-World Uses

Use this tube to locate herds across expansive terrain, call bulls from brushy edges, or communicate with a distant partner in open country. Results vary by hunt, but the Renegade aims to deliver an authentic elk voice in a portable package.

Note: This product is designed for experienced elk hunters seeking professional bugling capability in a more compact tool. It pairs well with a trusted diaphragm setup and a ready-to-go pack routine.
