Rapala 7cm Original Floating Lure (4g) Live Rainbow Trout

Realistic minnow action that performs in the water

The Rapala 7 cm Original Floating Lure in Live Rainbow Trout brings a lifelike minnow profile to freshwater casts. Its buoyant build makes the lure naturally sit at the surface or just beneath it, inviting close inspection from trout and other game fish.

Key design elements are simple yet effective: the buoyant balsa body powers the float, while a stainless through-wire construction adds durability for repeated retrieves. The attention to finish and color helps the lure stay visible in varied light conditions.

Core benefits at a glance

• Natural minnow profile that mirrors common prey species
• Floating action from a lightweight balsa core
• Stainless through-wire construction for reliable endurance

Color and presentation matter in freshwater settings, and Live Rainbow Trout offers a visually appealing option across water clarity ranges. Use it along weed edges, near drop-offs, or over open water where surface and near-surface movement can catch a fish’s eye.

Practical use ideas

• Cast and let it rest near structure, then retrieve with a balanced pace for a natural wobble
• Try slow sweeps to encourage subsurface takes or quick taps to stimulate surface strikes

Care tips: rinse after salt exposure, dry thoroughly, and store in a cool, shaded area. While results can vary, the lure’s buoyant action and lifelike profile may complement a thoughtful freshwater fishing setup.

Whether you’re new to fishing or expanding your lure collection, this Rapala lure offers a straightforward option that blends classic design with modern durability.
