Rapala Jigging Shadow Rap Jigging Lure – Ice Fishing Jig for Walleye, Pike & Perch

A versatile vertical jigging lure for ice and open water

The Rapala Jigging Shadow Rap is a compact, balanced jig designed to imitate a fleeing baitfish. Its motion is engineered to dart and glide with precision, inviting walleye, pike, and perch to investigate from below. The Nordic Perch color pops in varied light and water conditions, helping the lure stand out whether you’re fishing through the ice or casting in open water. At roughly 2-3/4 inches long and weighing about 3/8 ounce, this lure is sized to deliver controlled drops and convincing flashes at depth.

Key actions that matter on the water

• Vertical jigging action that initiates strikes with a natural, erratic dance.
• Ice-ready design capable of hardwater jigging as well as vertical presentations from open water.
• Weighted profile enables a quick, confident drop into deeper zones and current seams.
• Proven across multiple species, making it a versatile choice for winter and year-round jigging.
• Brand heritage built by fishermen for fishermen, focused on practical performance.

Real-world use cases you’ll appreciate

In cold-season lakes, anglers drop the Shadow Rap to the base of a deep hole and allow it to sink with a subtle heartbeat before initiating a steady lift or pause. In open water, a vertical presentation from a boat or a sheltered spot mirrors a fleeing baitfish, helping attract walleye and perch in varying currents. The lure’s balanced action keeps the lure visible while remaining easy to control during retrieves of different speeds.

What to expect on the water
