Rapala Rippin' Rap 2in Yellow Perch - Lipless Vibration Lure for Multispecies

Overview

The Rapala Rippin' Rap is a lipless, deep belly lure designed to crank, swim and rip with purpose. Its slender sides create a fluttering action on the drop, while a loud BB rattle communicates through the water. At 2 inches long and 5/16 oz, the Yellow Perch finish offers a natural silhouette across many light conditions.

Textured scales, gills, and deep-set 3D holographic eyes add lifelike detail that anglers notice in the water. Coupled with durable VMC black nickel hooks, this lure is built for repeated casts and confident hookups.

Versatility and water clarity

The Rippin' Rap is designed to pull over or through grass, bounce off timber, and rip through rocky bottoms. Its long-casting capabilities and variable running depth help it adapt to clear water where visibility matters and stained water where sound becomes essential.

• Trigger bites with lifelike flash and vibration
• Durable construction and sharp hooks for dependable performance
• Multi-species potential, including bass, walleye, pike, and trout

Sound, depth, and color in action

The lipless profile delivers a tight wobble at a variety of speeds, with the BB rattle adding a cadence anglers learn to pick up in the water. Running depth fluctuates with retrieve tempo, letting you explore different water layers as needed.

Color and texture enhance visibility: the Yellow Perch pattern catches light and mimics natural forage, while the textured scales and eyes add a lifelike presence when viewed from the boat or shore.

How to fish it

From shore, boat, or kayak, start with a simple cast and a steady retrieve, then adjust speed to provoke the lipless action. Keep the lure in productive zones—along weed edges, near cover, and around structure—for best results.

• Easy-to-use for anglers at any skill level
• Effective in both clear and stained water due to balanced action and sound

Tip: Experiment with pauses and steady retrieves to feel the lure's vibration, then tailor your pace to the water and target species.
