Region Fishing Tungsten Mop Jig Fly Size #10 – Euro Nymph on Hanak Hook, 6ct Pack (Tan Hook #10)

Region Fishing Tungsten Mop Jig Fly Size #10

The Mop Fly pattern is making waves on rivers and streams, prized for its bold silhouette and responsive presence in the drift. Weights and materials are chosen to help the fly ride true and stay in the strike zone. This pattern is tied on a barbless Hanak jig hook with a tungsten bead, giving you a weighted, snag‑aware rig that can still kiss the downstream current without getting hung up. The 6‑pack includes three Chartreuse flies and three Tan flies, giving you two color options to adapt to water color and light conditions.

In real-world water, anglers describe a tangible “presence” that can resemble a larger offering, which can translate to more confident comes and measured, controlled drifts. The Chartreuse shade pops in stained water or low light, while the Tan version blends into natural stream edges on clearer days. The combination in one package makes it easy to test what works on your home waters.

Key features

• Tungsten Bead - gets fly into the feeding lane faster
• Jig Hook – less snags and better hook ups as hook rides upward
• Barbless Hook – better penetration and less damage to the fish

What’s in the 6-pack

• 3 Chartreuse Mop Jig Flies
• 3 Tan Mop Jig Flies

Real-world use cases

This pattern excels in mid-depth runs with steady current where a bulkier silhouette helps trigger bites. The tungsten bead helps the fly reach feeding zones, while the jig hook rides up through debris, reducing snags. The barbless design supports clean releases and easier handling after a catch, when practiced with care.

Fishing tips

• Match weight to the water column to keep the fly in the strike zone
• Maintain a steady drift with small pauses to detect subtle takes
• Use a light leader and standard euro-nymphing setup for best results

Care and storage

Rinse after use in saltwater, keep flies dry in a dedicated fly box, and inspect hooks before fishing for sharpness.
