Region Fishing Tungsten Quill Perdigon Jig Head Fly – Euro Nymph on Hanak Hook, 6-Pack (Hook #16)

Region Fishing Tungsten Quill Perdigon Jig Head Fly

Region Fishing's Tungsten Quill Perdigon is a staple for euro nymph collections, designed for fast water and deep pools where confidence and control matter. The key is a fast sink rate provided by a compact tungsten bead, which helps place the fly into the feeding lanes where trout often roam. The epoxy body adds durability while maintaining a shallow profile that minimizes drag as the fly drifts through seams and undercut banks.

Built on a barbless Hanak jig hook, this fly rides upward as it deflects off rocks and drift, reducing snags and enhancing hookup odds when a subtle take arrives. The barbless hook is also easier on fish during release, aligning with catch-and-release practices. Together, the components form a reliable, repeatable pattern that many euro nymph anglers reach for in fast currents and fishing through the day.

Note: This description emphasizes the setup and performance characteristics rather than promising results. The combination of a tungsten bead, epoxy body, and upright jig orientation is a proven pattern for controlling depth and minimizing snag risk in typical euro nymphing scenarios. The durable construction helps the fly withstand multiple drifts across gravel, riffles, and rocky bottoms, making it a practical choice for anglers building a reliable fly box.
