SABRE Frontiersman MAX Bear & Mountain Lion Deterrent – 40 ft Range, 2% Capsaicinoids, Made in USA

Trusted protection when you’re venturing into wildlife country

Made in the USA and built on decades of safety expertise, the SABRE Frontiersman MAX Bear & Mountain Lion Attack Deterrent is EPA registered for both bears and mountain lions. It uses 2.0% major capsaicinoids, the strongest legally permitted formula, to form a fast acting barrier between you and an approaching animal. The canister relies on a next generation propellant, switching to HFO-1234ze for a climate friendly option with zero greenhouse gas emissions. With a 40 ft spray reach, you gain extra space to assess your surroundings and position yourself for safety. The design prioritizes quick, reliable use on the move, and a glow in the dark safety helps you locate the canister in low light. Field tested by Elmendorf Air Force Base and Brown Bear Resources, and supported by EPA and Health Canada approvals, this deterrent aims to be a practical part of your outdoor kit.

Key field advantages

• Maximum legal stopping power that aligns with safety guidelines, supporting your on trail protection plan.
• Long reach up to 40 ft (12 m) to create distance before a close approach occurs.
• Chest holster and strong elastic keep the spray secure yet quickly accessible on hikes.
• Glow in the dark safety enhances visibility and retrieval when daylight fades.
• Environmentally minded gear choice with a propellant that minimizes environmental impact and emissions.

Real world use and field tests
