Description
Overview
The Absolute Fluorocarbon Trout Tippet from Scientific Anglers is designed for stealthy, natural presentations in clear-water streams. Made from 100% fluorocarbon, this tippet delivers exceptional invisibility underwater, along with enhanced strength when wet.
Key performance features include a notable 15% improvement in wet knot strength over previous material, paired with crystal-clear visibility and robust abrasion resistance. Together, these traits help your line stay subtle without sacrificing durability during casts, drifts, or light snag encounters.
What you get
- Sizes: 6X – 0X
- Length: 100m spools in all sizes
- 100% fluorocarbon for stealthy presentations
- Supple enough to promote drag-free drifts
Practical field use
Imagine fishing a clear spring creek where wary trout slip behind the current seam. The Absolute Tippet lays down smoothly, preserves delicate nymph or dry fly presentations, and resists nicks as you work through light woody debris or rocky cover.
- Ideal for tight, fine-tippet setups where subtlety matters
- Effective across a range of trout setups, from delicate dries to subtle nymph rigs
Why anglers might choose this tippet
Beyond stealth, the taut yet supple feel helps you maintain line control on delicate drifts. While results vary with conditions, the combination of clarity, strength, and abrasion resistance offers a dependable option for anglers who value a quiet, confident presentation.
