SHIMANO Activecast 1100 Distance Ultra Cast Surf Reel | Long-Distance Surf Fishing

Overview

Meet the Shimano Activecast 1100 Distance Ultra Cast Surf reel, built for serious shore fishing where distance and dependability matter. This reel blends a streamlined profile with sturdy construction to deliver a smooth, controlled feel from the first cast to the last retrieve. It invites you to focus on technique while the gear does the heavy lifting, helping you place baits where the water meets the horizon.

Distance-focused design

The reel's form emphasizes a clean line release and reliable line lay, supporting longer casts without sacrificing control. Anglers report a stable arc even when wind and surf push against the line, making it easier to target far-off zones along the break.

Built for saltwater sessions

Designed to withstand the realities of oceanfront fishing, the Activecast 1100 uses corrosion-resistant components and a robust body to handle salt spray and splash. The result is dependable operation from the early light to the tail end of dusk.
