SHIMANO CURADO MGL 70K – Precision Casting Reel with HAGANE Body, MGL Spool, SVS Infinity

CURADO MGL 70K: Precision, Power, and Control

The SHIMANO CURADO MGL 70K blends a refined, lightweight design with rugged performance. Built around a rigid HAGANE Body, this reel ensures that every rod movement translates into steady cranking and reliable retrieves, even during long casts and demanding presentations.

From the first turn of the handle, you’ll feel crisp feedback, controlled spool noise, and balanced, all-day comfort. It’s designed to adapt to a range of lure types and fishing styles, helping you stay in command when water conditions shift.

Key design advantages

• HAGANE Body: A rigid metal frame that minimizes flex and resists impact, preserving action during hard pulls.
• MagnumLite (MGL) Spool: Reduces inertia by about 10%, enabling longer casts and about 20% more distance with many lures.
• MicroModule Gear: Smaller teeth with more contact points create a smoother, more efficient gear train.
• SVS Infinity Braking: External dial for quick adjustments and precise spool control, even with light lures.
• CI4+ Side Plate: Lighter yet stiffer, contributing to better balance and sensitivity.

Two real-world use cases

• Long casting sessions with finesse plastics, swimbaits, and mid-weight plugs, where controlled spool speed matters.
• Freshwater bass setups or light saltwater rigs, with stable retrieves and consistent brake response.

What to expect on the water

Expect a smooth, measured retrieve and a quiet reel that stays responsive as you vary speed and lure type. The combination of a strong frame and refined gearing translates your angling technique into confident, repeatable casts without added effort.
