Description
Overview
The Shimano Current Sniper Sinking Stickbait in the Bunker design blends a sand eel like slim silhouette with a smart weight system to maximize casting distance and water entry control. The OL212PEBN model features a streamlined profile designed for long, accurate casts and responsive action upon entry.
Key benefits
- Jet Boost technology helps extend casting distance by optimizing weight during the cast and then fluidly delivering energy on water entry.
- Internal weight slides back during the throw and springs forward on impact, enabling maximum distance with a smooth feel.
- The slow sinking profile and wide slide swim action yield versatile performance across a range of retrieves.
- Dual treble hooks sit at mid body and tail, boosting strike coverage and hookup opportunities.
- Sand eel like slim shape reduces wind resistance and enhances presentation stability in windy conditions.
On the water experience
Designed for saltwater and coastal species, this lure shines when chasing calico bass and stripers. The slender profile and balanced action help you maintain control in choppy water and unpredictable currents.
Shimano emphasizes durability and consistency, with chemically finished hooks ready to handle multiple strikes and demanding sessions right out of the box.
How to fish
Experiment with retrieves that mix steady sweeps with short pauses and light twitches. Cast beyond structure, let the lure settle briefly, then resume your sweep to invite a strike opportunity.
Specs and usage tips
Model OL212PEBN is built for reliable depth control during fast or moderate retrieves. Pair with appropriate line and leader choices for your local species and water clarity, adjusting setup to wind and current conditions.
Why choose Shimano Current Sniper
As a brand with decades of lure development, Shimano integrates robust construction with refined action. The Current Sniper sticks to the brand ethos of precision and performance, giving you a dependable option for challenging runs along the coast.
