SHIMANO Blue Sardine Current Sniper Swim Kick Jigs COL16KIBS

Overview

Meet the Shimano COL16KIBS Current Sniper Swim Kick 160S, a subsurface lure built for versatility and reliable performance in a range of water conditions. The Blue Sardine color delivers a subtle metallic flash as the lure travels just beneath the surface, catching light and drawing the eye in both clear and stained water. Out of the box, the lure feels well balanced with solid construction, inviting a confident cast and smooth tracking from the first retrieve. Its natural motion is designed to be compelling without requiring extra tuning, so you can focus on your target rather than your gear.

Why this lure stands out

• Out of the box action meaning you can rig it and cast immediately without tuning
• Erratic kicking action that mimics a damaged baitfish and can trigger aggressive strikes
• Jet Boost technology to improve casting distance and reach deeper targets
• Scale Boost finish for a lifelike, reflective appearance in sun and shade
• Kyorin Finish adds durability and color retention in diverse water conditions

How to fish it

Cast toward current seams, structure, or drop offs and adjust your retrieve to find what attracts attention. In clear water a slow sweep produces a natural glide; in stained water a slightly faster pull can drive the action and provoke a bite. For best results, alternate between short sweeps and longer pulls to keep the lure within mid depth where predators often search. The 160S design balances weight for steady tracking and controlled depth, letting you manage depth with your rod tip. The finish and profile help visibility while the lure moves through water columns with minimal drag.

Benefits at a glance
