Silva Free M 1200 Lumen Headlamp - Modular Ultralite for Skiing, Trail Running | ISPO Award

Overview

Meet the Silva Free M 1200 Lumen Headlamp, a compact, high‑performance lighting companion designed for multi‑sport use. With 1200 lumen brightness and a 36 Wh battery, it supports long sessions on snow or trail without weighing you down. Cables are integrated into the headband for a clean, distraction‑free fit, while the design emphasizes cooling and comfort during extended wear.

The Free line embraces a modular approach. Parts can be swapped or upgraded, and the lamp head can detach from the headband to mount on a helmet, bicycle handlebar, or frame, enabling quick adaptation to changing conditions and activities. This flexibility is paired with a thoughtful cooling strategy that helps maintain steady brightness when the pace picks up.

Cooling and reliability go hand in hand. The Free Airflow system centers on an aluminum cooler and protective housing to promote ventilation and effective heat management, ensuring consistent performance during sustained use. The blend of a long‑reach spot beam and a nearby flood beam offers versatile control for varied terrain, from wide trails to technical sections, while helping to reduce fatigue over time.

Designed for endurance, the Silva Free M 1200 is well suited for cross‑country skiing, ski touring, trail running, and longer training blocks. Its modularity means you can tailor the setup to your activity and environment, ensuring the right balance of weight, brightness, and battery life without sacrificing flexibility.
